American Airlines has updated its boarding process in multiple different ways recently, as the airline has now added a new group to its pre-boarding section for customers.
American Airlines is set to make a change to its boarding process on May 1st after recently announcing free WiFI.
Starting the first day in the month of May, American Airlines will begin pre-boarding with First and Business Class customers, as well as those who need extra time to board, including people in a wheelchair as well as those with children age 2 and younger, according to Travelmarketreport.
The First and Business Class customers will now be included in the pre-boarding group which is the first group to board the plane. Besides those who need extra time to board and First and Business Class customers, ConciergeKey members are also included in the pre-boarding group.

American Airlines is also adding an additional five minutes for its boarding process to make the process less stressful and rushed for customers, as it is hoping the new time will allow for “a better paced boarding process and better management of overhead bin space.”
American Airlines announced the extra five minutes earlier this year and it is set to be implemented on May 1st as well.
Everything else regarding the boarding process for American Airlines is set to remain the same.
