9 places to celebrate Galentine’s Day in Colorado Springs | Arts & Entertainment

As some prepare for the holiday of love with their significant other, others can look forward to celebrating a different kind of relationship in February — friendship!

Popularized by the TV sitcom Parks And Recreation, Galentine’s Day — celebrated on Feb. 13, the day before Valentine’s Day — is a day for women to get together and celebrate the bonds of sisterhood.

Create something that will last as long as your friendship! Visit 1350 Distilling for a night of crafts and cocktails ($45) on Feb. 7. At this candle-making and macrame workshop, you and your gal pals will be able to make your own 4-ounce scented candle as well as a heart-shaped macrame. 

Galentine’s Day Party at Blush Dry Bar Salon 

Blush Dry Bar Salon is offering to host a Galentine’s Day celebration for groups of friends on Feb. 16. Included in the price is a mini-service (lashes and lips or curls and a braid), wine tasting and a complimentary drink.

Love Stinks, Let’s Drink at Copperhead Road Bar

Grab your dancing shoes and unleash your inner rebel at Copperhead Roads’ ‘Love Stinks, Let’s Drink’ event on Feb. 10. Jam out to anti-love anthems while celebrating the single life with special drinks made to “mirror the bittersweet taste of heartbreak.” Online tickets are $5 or $15 at the door.

On Feb. 13, Notes Bar is hosting a Galentine’s Day dinner filled with games and prizes to win like concert tickets, gift cards and more. General admission ($25) includes an all-you-can-eat-buffet and will be hosted by 98.9 MAGIC FM host Dallas Jade.

Painting with a Twist is hosting a Galentine’s party that includes a step-by-step painting class, chocolate and wine on Feb. 11. If you want to stick with the official date, there’s a Black light party the night of Feb. 13. 

Galentine’s with the Girls at The ViewHouse 

Get your group together for some dinner at Galentine’s with the Girls at ViewHouse on Feb. 8. A ticket ($10) gives you access to an aura photo booth, a mini tarot reading, a Hendricks Gin tasting experience and more.

Galentine’s Day meal at The Melting Pot

The Melting Pot’s queso-like dip, Top Shelf Fiesta, is served in a fondue pot, with fresh veggies for dipping.

Treat yourself to a 4-course meal ($40 per person) this Galentine’s Day at the Melting Pot. Starting Feb. 6 through Feb. 8, you and your girls can indulge in cheese and chocolate fondues, and have your pick of entrees like teriyaki marinated steak, cajun shrimp and more.
